As Pachamama rests tranquilly by the offices of Cabo Rico in Ft. Lauderdale, Chichi and John have been enjoying home and family, as well as a wonderfully satisfying trip to Montana that merits recording.

We visited 35 year friends Jim and Toni Lusk at their Ranch between Billings and Livingston, Montana.  Our memories are of good conversations, learning about the ranching life, especially production of wheat, and having fine lessons in horse back riding, fly fishing and skeet shooting.  A ride on the All Terrain Vehicle was fun, as was the opportunity to operate a front loader. On planning this trip, Jim and Toni reminded us that Yellowstone National Park is only 2 1/2 hours from their home.
We spent two nights at The Old Faithful Inn, and we mentally imagined our next trip there.  It seems to us that Yellowstone is worth at least a week, with time either for short day hikes, or for a multi-night back packing trip.  That will be for next time.

Yellowstone is the first national park in the world.  It set the standard.

On visiting our friends and Yellowstone, a long belief was affirmed:  our country is the finest place to travel.
